GovRisk is a UK-based company specialising in Financial Crime Prevention and related areas such as Compliance, AML, Good Governance, Transparency and Integrity. Back in 2012, we were approached by the Bahamas Gaming Board, the gaming regulator of the most mature and advanced Caribbean nation in terms of Casinos and gambling. The 1st Caribbean & Americas Gaming Regulation Forum was held in Nassau in 2013 at the Atlantis Hotel & Casino with the full support of the Bahamas Government and with the participation of not just the gaming operators of the Bahamas but more than 15 additional Caribbean jurisdictions participated and it was then that we realised that this should become an annual event and so was born the Annual Caribbean & Americas Gaming Regulation Forum. The permanent home of this important regional forum is now Miami and it is held every year in Miami Beach, Florida. The annual forum seeks to bring together all the gaming industry's key stakeholders such as Operators, Regulators, Legislators, Law Enforcement, Auditors, Banks, Law Firms and other relevant suppliers to the gaming industry. We strongly believe that only through a more inclusive, holistic approach can we hope to bring about the best results for all concerned, as the cross-pollination of ideas and opinions foster closer cooperation between the key stakeholders and the various jurisdictions taking part. Our view is supported by the fact that what began as a relatively small forum in 2013 with 15 participating jurisdictions, has now grown to an annual forum that routinely has over 25 nations represented from not just the Caribbean but form USA, Canada, Central and South America.
In 2014, the Central Bank of Aruba (the nation's gaming regulator) invited us to design and host the 1st Dutch Caribbean Gaming Regulation Forum, and we welcomed delegates from Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Sint Maarten and Suriname.
This year we are delighted to be offering two events: 2nd Dutch Caribbean Gaming Regulation Forum, Curacao (14-16 AUG) which will be held at the superb Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino and is fully supported by the Government of Curacao and the regulator, the Gaming Control Board (GCB). If you, or your company is involved in the gaming industry in the Dutch Caribbean, then this is event is a must for you and you can register here:
Later on in the year, we are hosting the 5th Annual Caribbean & Americas Gaming Regulation Forum, Miami (20-22 NOV) which will be held at the luxurious and elegant Loews Miami Beach.
