TINIAN — Bridge Investment Group’s casino and hotel resort project is making progress as far as construction is concerned, Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission Executive Director William Cing said.
He said of the three casino licensees on Tinian, BIG alone is “moving forward.”
The two other licensees are Alter City Group and Tinian Entertainment Corp. which is trying to re-open the defunct Tinian Dynasty.

Cing said construction is now going on at BIG’s Tinian Island Hotel which includes a ferry terminal. Phase one of the project is expected to be completed in March 2019, he added.
“The only thing against [BIG] right now is the rain but construction is moving forward and hopefully [phase one] will be completed in seven months. Tinian really needs this now to help boost the economy of the island,” Cing said.
BIG is not experiencing any manpower issue since its workers are all U.S. qualified workers, he added.
“Hopefully, they will not run into other problems or issues and construction will just continue smoothly,” Cing said.
